There have been huge debates throughout the centuries about the eternal question.. "why are we here?" ... philosphers have devoted thier entire lives in search of an answer that can never be found, scientists have wasted trillions of cash in vain attempts to discover the answer in chemical, biological and physics. But you have to ask yourself why? whats the point in seeking an answer to a question that has no answer? Surely the reason we are here is because we are a tiny product of evoloution , so miniscule in the grand scheme of things that to even consider that such a question has an answer that relates only to us is almost laughable. For those who believe that without knowing the answer means a life spent in misery and torment wondering if they are achieving lifes purpose then consider this as a possible and perhaps believable answer to a question that isnt a question but an egotistical arrogance. we are here to enjoy our allotted so called three score years and ten, to reproduce so that the species may endure. If you lead your life in such a way that the happy memories far outweigh the sad ones then you can honestly say you have led your life to its full potential. It matters not if you never gain a fortune, it doesnt count for a tin of beans if you never travel outside your home town. What matters is that you live each day in such a way that you have at least smiled once, laughed once, loved once and made someone else feel loved, happy and wanted. If you can do this everyday then your life is one that can be considered as one that has answered the question. |
